Subject:- Relaxation of Eligibility of all grades in appearing Ministerial Staff Exam- 2020- reg.

Madam /Sir,

Vide Notification-II, issued on 28.05.2020, it was notified that the MTS who have qualified the Computer Skill Test, are only eligible to appear in the Departmental Exam for Ministerial Staff- 2020.

Due to unprecedented COVID-19 Pandemic Situations, the Computer Skill Test, could not be conducted by many Pr. CCsIT/CCsIT and accordingly it was requested for one time relaxation, for MTS grade employees, to appear in DE-2020, without passing the Computer Skill Test. MTS cadre was granted one time relaxation vide Notification No. DE-2020/Notification/ADG/81-98 dated 20.07.2020 till November 2020 to clear computer examination.

Afterwards, a request has been received that the precondition of passing computer skill test may kindly be removed for current year DEM as a onetime relaxation for all grades and all willing employees may kindly be allowed to appear in the current year’s DEM.

Therefore, I am directed to state that it is decided to allow all grades including appointed on compassionate basis, as one time measure to apply provisionally for Ministerial Staff Exam – 2020 on relaxed grounds without passing the Computer Skill Test. The timeline for form submission which was till 10.08.2020 as per original exam notification may be taken as 18.09.2020 for above relaxed candidates.

However, it is has been decided that the Computer Skill Test should be held in the month of November, 2020, by all the Pr. CCsIT/CCsIT offices and the results of Ministerial Staff Exam- 2020, should be declared, keeping in mind the results of the Computer Skill Test, as per norms, in this regard.

This issues with the prior approval of the Competent Authority.

Yours faithfully,
