Sub : Printing of calendar.

Vide Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure)’s OM No. 7(2)/E.Coord/2020 dated 02.9.2020, circulated vide Board’s letter of even number dated 18.8.2021, printing activities of new year diaries, calendars, Coffee Table books etc. was banned and all Zonal Railways/Production Units/Attached Offices /Subordinate Offices/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies etc. under Ministry of Railways were directed to make efforts to adopt innovative means to use digital or online method for these activities.

2. In partial modification of its OM dated 02.9.2020, Department of Expenditure vide its OM No. 7(2)/E.Coord./2020 dated 13.12.2022 (copy enclosed) has now decided to allow the printing of calendar by Ministries/Departments /Autonomous Bodies and other organs of the Government.

3. The aforesaid instructions dated 13.12.2022 of Deptt. Of Expenditure are circulated herewith for information. However, emphasis should still be on adopting innovative means to use digital or online method for activities mentioned above.
