Sub: Clarification to Minimum prescribed educational qualification for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Loco Pilot in Level-2 reg.

Ref (i) Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2000/RR-I/47 dated 19.10.2015 (RBE No.129/2015),
(ii) Board’s letter No. ECNG)I/2019/PM7/5 dated 14.11.2019 (RBE No. 196/2019)

Please refer to Board’s above referred letter dated 14.11.2019 regarding provisions relating to recruitment rules of Loco Pilots, Shunters. Drivers (Mail & Express) and Loco Inspectors in IREM Vol… vide which Advance Correction Slip (ACS) No, 270 amending provisions contained in para 136(1) to 140 of IREM Vol. has been issued.

It is clarified with respect to provisions contained in para 137(2) of IREM Vol.I regarding education qualification for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Loco Pilot the instructions contained in Board’s letter under reference No.(i) dated 19.10.2015 still hold good.

3. Advance Correction Slip (ACS) to Indian Railway Establishment Manual, Volume-I (Revised Pedition-l989) wall follow.
