Sub: Change of medical fitness category of Assistant Works of Engineering Department from B-1 to C-1 medical standard—Reg.
Ref: (i) This office letter No. 99/H/7/1/NR dated 30.06.2003. (RBE No. 8 of 2003)
(ii) Board’s letter No. 2018/H/5/17(Policy) dated 17.12.2018.
(iii) This office letter no. of even number dated 25.05.2018.
Details of non-gazetted post falling in different medical classifications over Indian Railways was circulated vide Board’s letter cited under references.
RRB/Bhopal has requested for change of medical fitness category of different posts. After detailed consideration in the matter, Pay Commission Directorate has advised that the proposal of the RRB needs consideration.
After careful consideration in the matter in consultation with user departments, it has been decided, with the approval of Competent Authority that the medical classification of Assistant Works of Engineering Department be changed from B-1 to C-1 medical classification.
Accordingly, the post of Assistant Works of Engineering Department will henceforth be categorized in medical classification C-1.
For considered decision on the future of the medical classification of existing employees, it is mentioned that the existing employees’ current guidelines and medical category will remain the same. The amended categories will be applicable to the newly recruited entrants after notification.
