OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: – Facility of LTC by air during winter only to the Government servants posted in Ladakh Region – Regarding

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department O.M. No. 32011/15/87-Estt.(A) dated 22.4.86 of the subject mentioned above and to say that proposals have been received for allowing facility of air travel to the Government servants posted in Ladakh Region for travel between Leh and Srinagar also. The matter hes beer considered in this Department and it has been decided that this facility may be extended for the journeys between Leh and Srinagar also. Para 1(ii) of the above mentioned O.M. is, therefore, substituted and will read ae under:-

(ii) the facility of air travel will be limited to travel between Leh and Srinagar/ Jammu/ Chandigarh for the forward as well as the return journey. This facility would, however, between be admissible Leh and only one of these three places. The journeys between Srinagar/ Jammu/ Chandigarh and the home-town or any other place of visit, as the case may be, will be regulated by the normal entitlement of the Government servant concerned.”

2. Insofar as the persons serving in the Indian Audit and accounts Department are concerned this issues with the approval of Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

3. Ministry of Agriculture etc. may please bring the above decision to the notice of all authorities having offices in Ladakh region.
