DOPT – Department of Personnel and Training:
Date of next increment in the case of employees promoted or granted MACP on 1st January or 1st July, will be following 1st July or 1st January as the case may be subject to completion of 6 months of qualifying service. This clarification clarifies the ambiguity prevailed in granting next annual increment in the promoted level in 1st January or 1st July when 12 months is not over from the earlier increment given at the time of promotion or MACP.

Children Education Allowance Clarification:
DOPT clarified that irrespective actual amount spent for education of children, Central Government Employees are entitled to CEA of Rs. 2250 per Month per child (up to two children). Also there is no need to produce Fee receipts. A Certificate from the head of the school will have to be produced to the effect that the child studied in the school during the periiod for which CEA is claim is made.

Transport Allowance at double the normal rates to persons with disabilities employed in Central Government:
DOPT has clarified that Transport Allowance in repect of persons with disabilities will be applicable even if he / she has been provided with Government Accommodation within one km from the office.
