Subject: Filling up of Vacant Posts of in the grades of Section Officer / Assistant of CSS in cadre units of CSS – Reg
The undersigned is directed to say that this Department has received an number of references from cadre units of CSS regarding filling up of vacant posts in the grades of Section Officer and Assistant of CSS. The Matter has been examined i the Department and it is stated that :
(i) The Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for Section Officer grade for the years 2012 and 2013 was conducted by UPSC in December 2013. More Section officers will be available for posting to different cadre units of CSS on the basis of LDCE 2012-13 in coming months
(ii) In Assistant Grade, the vacancies will be filled up in the next few months on the basis of CGL 2013 conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The Select List 2003 (extended) of UDC has not yet been finalized due to litigation and hence no ad-hoc promotion in Assistant Grade can be made promoting UDCs
