CGHS Package Rates for Medical treatment in CGHS empanelled Private Hospitals in Major Cities
Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) permits Central Government Employees and pensioners (including dependents of Central government employees and pensioners) to take medical treatment on the basis of CGHS Package Rates in CGHS empanelled hospitals in case of required specialised medical care is not available in CGHS hospitals.
In such situations, authorities in charge of CGHS hospital / wellness Centres under which the concerned Central Government Employee / pensioner / dependent is covered would refer to a CGHS empanelled hospital where specialised medical treatment facility is available. The charges in respect of such medical treatment will be reimbursed by CGHS authorities / government based on CGHS Package rates.
