Subject: Grant of House Rent Allowances to the DAD employees attached to GREF- Reg.

Of late, references are being received from field Controllers seeking clarification on retention of DAD Pool accommodation by the Officers/staff who have been transferred from Static stations to Non-static stations under GREF.
2. In. this regard attention is invited to MoD (Finance Division)’s letter No.AN/XIV/14004/III/Vol.IV(PC), dated 30.03.1994 and No. F.12(3)/C/2003, dated 16.04.2003 (copies enclosed) wherein guidelines were issued regarding retention of accommodation or alternatively, admissibility of HRA applicable to their last duty station in respect of those DAD employees who are transferred from Static to non-static stations, from one non-static to another non-static station. A list of Static stations has also been annexed to MoD letter dated 30.03.1994. Further, it has been stated therein, that all other stations other than Static stations will be called non-static stations.
3. Accordingly, PCDA/CDA/Estate Officers of DAD Pool accommodation are requested to deal with such cases in terms of ibid MoD orders.
This issues with the approval of CGDA.
