Tamil Nadu Public Sector Employees Get 20% Dewali Bonus –Â The Chief Minister said, “It is the work force which moves the development wheels of a country, and it is just that they should be rewarded accordingly”.
The Tamil Nadu Government has granted 20% percent bonus for its public sector units. This was announced by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Miss. Jaya Lalitha today. The employees are awarded 8.33% as bonus and 11.67% as ex-gratia.
The Chief Minister said, “It is the work force which moves the development wheels of a country, and it is just that they should be rewarded accordingly”.
As per the bonus order by the Government, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, State Rubber board, TN forest board, TN tea Estate, TN Civil supplies employees etc  will get the Dewali gift.
The Government order further says, around 3 lakh 76 thousand employees will be benefited by this dewali gift and the Government’s expenses for the same would be around Rs.242 crores.
The Tamil Nadu Government has also announced a bonus of Rs,2000/- for the contract labourers working in Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and Rs.1500/- to temporary workers in the civil supplies.
