Subject: Regarding seeding of Mobile Number in RD Accounts opened through MPKBY agents in Post Office.
Respected Sir/Madam,
This has the reference to SB Order No.-22/2022 dated 12.12.2022, vide which Mobile number seeding in CIFs was made mandatory for all POSB transactions.
2. For effective implementation of the instructions issued vide above referred SB Order in respect of RD accounts opened through MPKBY Agents, a functionality is being developed in system and same will be implemented with effect from August 01, 2024,
3. After deployment of functionality, the system will not allow to generate RD Agent bulk list through Agent Portal for all such RD accounts, which are not linked with a mobile number. However, a facility has been provided in the agent portal by which agents will be able to download the list of such accounts not linked with mobile number.
4. Therefore, it is kindly requested to make suitable arrangements for bringing this important information to the notice of all staff concerned and MPKBY Agents under your Circle to prioritize linking of mobile numbers in respective CIFs by cut-off date i.e., July 31, 2024. This proactive approach will provide ample time for customers to conveniently update their mobile numbers before the deadline, minimizing any potential disruptions to their POSB account operations
This is issued with the approval of competent authority.
