Subject: Revised sanctioned strength of ASP posts after reconciliation – reg
Sir/Madam,
This is regarding revised sanctioned strength of ASP posts after reconciliation. The sanctioned strength of ASP posts, which was issued vide this Directorate letter no. Q-25/33/2022-PE-I-DOP dated 11.08.2022 has not included the posts of ASPs at CEPTs, PTCs, RAKNPA and Directorates (Postal/ PLI/ BD/ Parcel).
2. Thereafter, while reconciling the sanctioned strength of ASP posts at CEPT, PTCs, RAKNPA and Directorates (Postal/ PLI/ BD/ Parcel), it is noticed that redeployed posts of ASPs, surplus posts consequent on merger of PSD/CSD and diverted posts have also been included in their sanctioned strength by some Circles. Moreover, 225 ASP posts have been upgraded to PS Gr.’B’ posts vide Directorate letter No. 25-36/2017-PE-I(Vol.III) dated 29th March,2023.
3. In view of above, the extensive exercise for reconciliation of sanctioned strength of ASP posts was carried out by adjusting the redeployed/ upgraded ASP cadre posts.
4. The revised,/consolidated sanctioned strength of ASP posts is enclosed herewith as Annexure I & II.
