Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main Notification 2018 Released – Aadhar Mandatory For Application – Check exam dates
JEE Main Notification 2018 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the official notification of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) mains 2018. The JEE Main Paper-based exam is scheduled on April 8, 2018 and the computer-based exam is scheduled on April 15 and 16, 2018.
The online application process for JEE Main 2018 will begin on December 1, 2017. The application process will be carried on for a month.Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has updated the information brochure for JEE Main 2018 on the official website for JEE Main. The JEE Main Paper-based exam is scheduled on April 8, 2018 and the computer-based exam is scheduled on April 15 and 16, 2018. It is important to note that only such candidates who appear in JEE Main and score the required percentile will be allowed to fill application form for JEE Advanced exam in May next year.

- Click on the link, ‘Information bulletin JEE Main 2018’
- After clicking the same, the notification will be displayed on the screen
The paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline (Pen and paper based examination) and online (Computer based examination) mode. A candidate will opt for either pen and paper based or computer based examination mode for paper 1.
The Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning) will be held in pen and paper based examination. The pen and paper based exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 8, 2018, while the computer-based exam will take place on April 15, 2018 and April 16, 2018.

Eligibility
- The candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 1993.
- Candidate must have appeared and qualified in class 12th examination in 2016 or 2017 or should appear in class 12th examination in 2018.
- The number of attempts for JEE Main is limited to 3.
- Candidates need to score at least 75 per cent in their class 12 board examinations or be in the top 20 percentile of their Boards to be eligible for JEE main or advanced. For candidates of the SC and ST categories, this has been lowered to 65 per cent.
- JEE advanced further requires that the candidates score high in JEE main and rank among the top 2,24,000 candidates.

Application process:
Last year, the application forms were released in the month of December and can be expected to be available at the same time this year. Candidates who wish to apply for the JEE main 2018 paper can do so from the official portal of the exam at jeemain.nic.in. A portal for the JEE advanced examination has also been opened and candidates can stay updated about the exams by visiting jeeadv.ac.in.
Online test:
This year the entire JEE Advanced exam will be conducted in a computer-based test mode. The examination will consist of two papers— Paper 1 and Paper 2— and each of the papers will be held for a three hours duration.
Courses:
Clearing the JEE mains and advanced papers will give candidates access for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) courses at Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across India.
Aadhaar Mandatory for Application
CBSE has made it mandatory to have an Aadhaar card to apply for the exam. Such candidates who already have an Aadhaar card will have to enter their aadhaar number in their application form. Those who have applied for their Aadhaar but have not received it yet will have to provide Aadhaar Enrolment Id in the application form.
All such candidates who do not have an Aadhaar number and wish to appear for JEE Main in 2018 should enroll for the same at the earliest.
