Subject: Creation of a new Postal Sub-Division under Barabanki Postal Division in Uttar Pradesh Circle-reg.

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to refer to Uttar Pradesh Circle’ proposal on the above subject and to convey the approval of the Competent Authority for creation of “Tehsil Fatehpur” Postal Sub-Division under Barabanki Postal Division subject to the following conditions:

i. The diversion of posts will not affect the working of present establishment. Further, the posts to be diverted are not recommended for abolition by the work study unit nor do they fall under “deemed abolished” category;

ii. The expenditure involved in the process should be restricted to the minimum and should be met from the funds allotted to the Circle. No additional funds in this regard will be allotted to the Circle.

iii. Circle will take proactive measures to improve the revenue generation of the Division. The performance (financial as well as work load) of the Division after creation of new Postal Sub-Division be reviewed by the Circle after one year and same shall be submitted to this office, containing details of improvement in revenue generation, for examination by the Directorate.

2. In view of above, Circle is requested to take further necessary action in the matter and furnish an Action Taken Report (ATN) to this office at the earliest.

3. This sanction issues with the approval of competent authority. The advice of Integrated Finance Wing was conveyed vide their Dy no. 17/2024-25/FA-CS(P) dated 14.05.2024.
