CORRUPTION IN ARMED FORCES
1340. DR. V. SIVADASAN:
Will the Minister of Defence be pleased to state:
(a) the number of corruption cases involving personnel of Armed Forces;
(b) whether the number of corruption cases have increased over the years, if so, the details thereof since 2010; and
(c) the reasons therefor?

IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE
(a): The number of corruption cases involving the personnel of Armed Forces since the year 2010 are as under:
| Army | 1046 |
| Navy | 05 |
| Indian Air Force | 29 |
(b) & (c): There has been a decrease in number of corruption related complaints. The likely reasons for the same are as follows:
(i) Strict action against delinquent personnel.
(ii) Sensitisation of environment on severity of consequences.
(iii) Regular promulgation of advisories and policies.
