OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject:- Amendment in Model Recruitment Rules for the Canteen Attendant (Group ‘C’) in Departmental Canteens working from Central Government Offices- regarding.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. No.-3/2/2009-Dir. (C) dated 22.05.2013 regarding Model recruitment rules for various group ‘C’ posts of Non- statutory departmental canteens in Central Government Offices and to say that the Col. 6 of Schedule 1 of the Model RRs of Canteen Attendant is modified as under :-

| 18-25 years (relaxation of age limit upto 40 years for Government Servants) in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time. Note :- (i) The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the) last date up to which the Employment Exchange is asked to submit names. In case, post is advertised in Employment News/ Newspaper the crucial date for determining the age limit shall be last date up to which applications have been called for. |
18-25 years* (relaxation of age limit upto 140 years for Government Servants) in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time. *In case of post filled by all- India Open Competition, it would be between 18 and 27 years.
Note :- (i) The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the last date up to which the Employment Exchange is asked to submit names. (ii) In case, post is advertised in Employment News/ Newspaper, the crucial date for determining the age limit shall be last date up to which applications have been called for. (iii) In case of recruitment is made via Staff selection Commission, the crucial date for determining the age limit shall be as advertised by SSC. |
2. Accordingly, Ministries/ Departments are requested to take necessary action for amending the recruitment rules for the post of Canteen Attendant in Non- statutory departmental canteens under their administrative control.
3. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
