The third meeting of the Joint Committee constituted to examine the anomalies pertaining to the MACP scheme was held under the Chairmanship of Joint Secretary (Estt.) Department of Personnel & Training on 15th March, 2011.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DOP&T), has decided to extend the period of adhoc promotion to Section Officer grade, beyond 31.03.2011 upto 30.06.2011 subject to certain conditions laid down therein. This is done because availability of regular Section Officers may take some more time. It has also decided that no fresh ad hoc promotion shall be made in the grade of Section Officer.
The Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board (CCSCSB) under DOPT is the body for promotion of cultural and Sports Activities among Central Govt Employees. For effective conduct of various Tournaments, the Board appoints convenors for a term of two years. Now the Board has invited names of Officers, who are willing to work as convenors for various Sports/ Cultural events. The duties and responsibilities of the convenors have been enlisted in the annexure II. Various Ministries/Departments may forward the names of deserving candidates in annexure I for consideration by the Board. The last date of submission of names is 10th May 2011.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DOP&T), has referred the O.M. No. 22011/5/86-Estt (D) dated 10.04.1989 and reiterated that the Officer who does not want to accept a promotion shall be debarred for promotion for a period of one year from the date of refusal of such promotion
Officers who are drawing Pay as per pre revised scales of Pay ( 5CPC scales) will be 115 % from the present rate of 103 % with effect from 1.1.2011.
The Department of Pensioner’s Welfare has decided that the Dearness Relief (DR) payable to Central Government pensioners/ family pensioners shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 45% to 51% w.e.f. 1st January, 2011.
