DA from January 2014 may touch 101%
DA from January 2014 may touch 101% if CPI-IW crosses 245 in Dec 2013
We have All India Consumer price index (Industrial Workers from January 2013 to November 2013 in hand now as Government has released the CPI-IW for the month of November 2013 yesterday, which is 243, two point increase from October 2013.

Estimation made by us in the month of October 2013, in respect of Central Government Employees DA from January 2014 was 100% when CPI(IW) from September 2013 were not issued

AICPI (IW) FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2013 – EXPECTED DA FROM JANUARY 2014
Now after release of CPI from September 2013, October 2013 and November 2013 which are 238, 241 and 243 respectively, we estimate that Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees from January 2014 may touch 101% only if CPI for the month of December crosses 245 i.e 246 or more (at least 3 point increase)
