Sub: Provision of seeking vigilance clearance before nomination of members of selection committee.
Ref: (i) Railway Board’s letter No E(NG)1/95/PM 1/14 dated 03.03.1998.
(ii) Railway Board’s letter No. E(NG)/2019/PM1/20 dated 19.12.2019.
Attention is drawn to Board’s letter No. E(NG)/2019/PM1/20 dated 19.12.2019 wherein para 5 provides procedure for nomination of members of selection committee/selection board.
Vigilance Directorate has advised for incorporation of the provision of seeking vigilance clearance before nomination of members of selection committee in the guidelines dated 19.12.2019 ibid.
The matter has been considered and it has been decided that prior vigilance clearance of officers shall have to be ensured before nomination of officers in the Selection committee.
