The Department of Personnel and Training has drawn up a short term Internship Programme for undergraduates pursuing five year Integrated Course in Law to conduct an analysis of RTI applications in Public Authorities under the Central Government
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005) and in supersession of the Central Information Commission (Appeal Procedure) Rules, 2005 and the Right to Information (Regulation of Fee and Cost) Rules, 2005 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:—

DOPT in its Office Memorandum dated 19.05.2011, had called for proposals from Ministries / Departments for setting up RTI Cells for which one-time grant of up to Rs. 50,000.00 for procuring a computer along with a printer and scanner facility for RTI Cells was offered by DOPT under the Centrally Sponsored Plan Scheme
The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has circulated the Government’s intention to post more Number of Information Commissioners in the Central Information Commission. Willingness from eligible eminent personalities for appointment as Information Commissioner has been called for.
