No Plan for introducing CGHS in new cities

The Central Government has no proposal to extend Central Govt Health Scheme (CGHS) to new cities in India. This was stated by the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri.Ghulam Nabi Azad. When answering the question in Lok Sabha regarding the subject of CGHS covered cities, the Minister said that the at present no proposal to expand CGHS to new locations due to severe resource constraints, especially the acute shortage of qualified medical and paramedical professionals, besides financial and logistic constraints.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has finalised the list of doctors empanelled as Authorised Medical Attendants (AMAs) for Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the Kendriya Vidyalaya employees and members of their families at Gandhinagar (Gujarat) for the period 01.04.2012 to 31.03.2013 in terms of the Central Services (Medical Attendance) Rules, 1944. Audio-Video Class fee eligible under C.E.A. Scheme.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has considered the various representations regarding eligibility of reimbursement of fee charged by schools for teaching through audio-visual aids. It has been decided that such fee charged by schools for teaching through audio-visual aid is reimbursable as “fee” mentioned in Para 1 (e) of the OM Dated 02.09.2008.

Opening of Holiday Home at Port Blair (Andaman)

Here is some happy news. The Government of India (Directorate of Estates) has issued a Office Memorandum and has added one more to the list of existing holiday homes at various places. The Holiday Home at Port Blair has been completed and now open for booking. As usual, persons opting to visit may use the website “holidayhomes.nic.in” for booking. For serving Central Government Employees, the rent per day rates will be Rs. 150 + 30 (AC charge) – for double bed Room and Rs. 450 for VIP room per day.
