The Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Act, 2015 envisages enhancement of eligibility limit under section 2(13) from Rs.10,000/- per month of Rs. 21,000/- per month and Calculation Ceiling under section 12 from Rs.3500 to Rs.7,000
Amendment of Bonus Act passed in the Parliament provides for increase in Bonus Calculation Ceiling to Rs. 7000/- (for 30 days) – However, Govt has not accepted the demand of Staff Side JCM for paying adhoc Bonus applicable for Central Government Employees at par with this amendment
After enactment of Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Bill 2015, Bonus eligibility ceiling has been increased to Rs. 21,000 and Bonus Ceiling has been fixed at Rs. 7000. So, if Basic Pay plus DA of an employee is less than or equal to Rs. 21,000 then he / she will be eligible for PLB / Adhoc Bonus
7th CPC recommends that the PRP should subsume the existing Bonus schemes. The Commission notes that there could be a time lag in implementing the Performance Related Pay by different departments. Till such time, the existing Bonus Schemes should be reviewed and linked with increased profitability/productivity under well-defined financial parameters
Department of Posts has released bonus orders to all postal staff including casual labourers who have been conferred temporary status. Sixty days salary will be paid as bonus. The formula for calculating the bonus has also been provided by Department of Posts
