MEMORANDUM

Subject :Enhancement of remuneration/ wages of Fixed Pay employees (engaged against fixed pay posts created by keeping regular pay scale post in abeyance)/ DRWs/ MRWs/ Contingent Workers/ Part-time Workers/ Permanent Labourers/ Persons working in Public Places of Worship on monthly remuneration basis etc., w.e.f. 01.03.2021 (payable from 01.04.2021)

The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject captioned above and to state that the Governor of Tripura is pleased to decide enhancement of wages/ remuneration of existing Daily Rated Workers/ Monthly Rated Workers/ Contingent Workers/ Part-time Workers/ Permanent Labourers/Persons working in Public Places of Worships w.e.f. 1st March. 2021 (payable from 1st April, 2021), which is as follows :-

(i) For full time workers, increase of wages @ Rs.6.90 per day or Rs.207.00/- per month whichever is applicable, will be added to the existing rates.

(ii) For Part-time workers, increase of wages @ Rs.5.25 per day or Rs.157.50/- per month, whichever is applicable, will be added to the existing rates.

(D) Persons working in Public places of Worship on monthly remuneration basis:

2. The monthly remuneration of Fixed Pay employees (who have been engaged against fixed pay posts created by keeping abeyance regular scale post) will be enhanced by 3% over the existing fixed monthly remuneration, w.e.f 01.03.2021 (payable from 01.04.2021). The additional monthly remuneration shall be applicable for Group-C and Group-D employees of the aforesaid category. Grant of this additional monthly remuneration shall not be taken into account for determination of minimum basic pay of the aforesaid category of fixed pay employees, at the time of their respective regularization. This rate shall, however, not be applicable to employees on consolidated monthly fixed pay.

Illustration:

(a) Suppose a fixed pay employee (appointed against a fixed pay post keeping regular pay scale post in abeyance) under Group-C category, is drawing monthly remuneration of Rs.16050/- ( i.e 75% of the initial pay in level 7 of the Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018)

On account of release of additional remuneration equivalent to 3% over the existing fixed monthly remuneration, he/she would be allowed Rs.481.50/- (i.e., 3% of Rs.16050/-) additionally w.e.f 01.03.2020 (Payable from 01.04.2021). So, his/her revised monthly remuneration would be Rs.16531.50/- (Rs.16050/- + Rs.481.50/-)

(b) Suppose a fixed pay employee (who is appointed against a fixed pay post keeping regular pay scale post in abeyance) under Group-D category, is drawing monthly remuneration of Rs.12000/- (i.e. 75% of the initial pay in Level 1 of the Tripura State Pay Matrix, 2018)

On account of release of additional remuneration equivalent to 3% over the existing fixed monthly remuneration, he/she would be allowed Rs.360/- (i.e., 3% of Rs.12000/-) additionally w.e.f 01.03.2020 (Payable from 01.04.2021). So, his/her revised monthly remuneration would be Rs.12360/- (Rs.12000/- + Rs.360/-).
