Ref: Board’s letter no. 2021/E(Sports)/4(1)/2/status dated 03.02.2023 (RBE No. 25 /2023) and clarifications/ corrigendum no. 123

Vide Board’s letter dated 03.02.2023 (RBE No. 25/2023) under reference above, it was decided that the sports achievements in the events conducted by Handball Federation of India or its affiliated units after 31.12.2021 shall not be considered for recruitment, incentives and all other establishment matters in Indian Railways.
2. Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports vide their letter No. 31- 14/2009-SP-I (Vol IV) dated 25.07.2023 has conveyed the decision to recognize Handball Association of India as NSF for promotion and regulation of the sport of Handball in the country with effect from 25.07.2023.
3. Accordingly, in line with the above decision of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, it has been decided that the participation and medal winning performances in the events organized by Handball Association of India on or after 25.07.2023 may be considered for recruitment of sportspersons, incentives and all other establishment matters in Indian Railways as per Board’s extant policy instructions.
