Sub: Induction of Track Maintainers into other Departments on Indian Railways-reg.
Attention is drawn to Board’s instruction dated 13.12.2023 (RBE 138/2023) wherein revised instruction for lateral induction of Track Maintainers into other departments against 10% quota posts in Pay Level-have been issued.
Staff Side is representing to Board that the provisions contained in the aforesaid instructions are not being implemented by certain Railways. The instructions issued vide RBE 138/2023 are accordingly reiterated for strict compliance. It can now be understood that with the availability of empanelled Track Maintainers in Level-1 in recently concluded Level-1 recruitment, there will be no impediment for lateral induction under the existing provisions.
