Sub: GDCE Examination held on 15.12.2023
Ref: Board’s letters of even number dated 20.06.2023 (RBE No.80/2023) & 20.02.2024 (RBE No. 18/2024)
Zonal Railways were advised by RBE No. 80/2023 to notify GDCE vacancies for 4 posts of ALPs, JE, Technician and Train Manager and it was further directed in the said instructions that a Common Exam shall be held for all Zonal Railways. The said exam could not be concluded due to unforeseen circumstances.
Thereafter, a committee was constituted to look into the issues encountered during the conduct of GDCE held on 15.12.2023. The committee has made several observations and recommendations. The recommendations submitted by committee dated 19.01.2024 has been considered by Board and it has been decided to cancel the GDCE conducted on 15.12.2023.
Further, Board’s office vide letter of even number dated 20.02.2024 (copy enclosed) have decided to waive the condition of a common examination and permitted Zonal Railways to hold the GDCE Examination as held earlier at their own level.
