Central Government Holidays List 2019 – State wise decided by CGEWCC (coordination Committee)

Department of Personal and Training (DOPT) will announce Closed Holidays (Public Holidays) for all Central Government Offices and Central Government Employees working in those offices in Delhi and throughout India.

As far as public holidays (Closed Holidays) for all Central Government Offices and Central Government Employees in Delhi are concerned, Detailed List of Closed and restricted holidays are given in the DOPT Office Memorandum itself.

However, in respect of Central Government Offices outside Delhi, 14 days of closed holidays (public holidays are declared by DOPT in the Office Memorandum. In addition to the 14 Compulsory holidays discussed above, 3 holidays out of list of 12 holidays list mentioned in DOPT Office Memorandum will have to be announced as Compulsory holidays by Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination committee in the State Capitals. The exact date of these holidays for the concerned state will have to be decided by the committee.

Central Government Holidays list during 2019 – Closed and Restricted Holidays – Common Order

After taking in to account the above DOPT Order for Central Government Holidays for 2019, Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination committee in each State Capital have decided the following list of holidays as Compulsory holidays for their State mentioning the exact date. The remaining 9 days out of 12 holidays mentioned by DOPT in respect of Central Government Offices and Employees outside Delhi, will be the restricted holidays. A central Government Employee can avail any 2 days out of these 12 days as Restricted Holiday applicable to him.
