The lumpsum amount payable under Tamil Nadu Government Servants’ Family Security Fund Scheme shall be enhanced to Rs.3,00,000/- This shall take effect from 1-2-2016.

The ongoing indefinite strike by the government employees and officials across the State has seriously affected the ‘services’ being extended by the government departments to the public on Thursday also.
More than three lakh state government employees in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday launched an indefinite strike to press for their various demands. The strike affected functioning of many departments.
In a statement, the Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa said, ”Totally, Rs 326.85 crore will be spent on distributing bonus for government employees and others.”
TN Govt hiked Dearness allowance / Dearness Relief to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board employees who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- p.m.
The Tamil Nadu Government has granted 20% percent bonus for its public sector units. This was announced by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Miss. Jaya Lalitha today. The employees are awarded 8.33% as bonus and 11.67% as ex-gratia.
