It is the case of the postal employees for grant of HRA applicable to “B” Class cities for Central Government employees Posted at Aizawl (Mizoram). After they got favourable orders from Tribunal which was confirmed by Hon’ble High Court and as well as Apex Court, Govt has now accepted to grant HRA at higher rate viz., rate applicable for B / Y class cities
Railway Board grants HRA to railway employees posted to ECR·and NWR upto 31.12.2015, at the rates admissible at their last place of posting
Railway Officers on deputation can retain Railway accommodation for a period of 2 months. If the deputation is on mandatory basis the accommodation can be continued.
The present rate of 10%, 20% and 30% in respect of House rent allowance have been reduced by 7th Pay Commission to 8%, 16% and 24% respectively.

Railway Employees working at Pune and Ahmedabad will now get 30% HRA as these cities crossed 50 lakh mark and upgraded to X category based on Census 2011. Also 21 cities have been upgraded from “Z” Category to “Y” Category. HRA for these cities will be 20%
As per the dependency certificates dated 23.6.2015 issued by the District Collector of Ranga Reddy District, Umdanagar, Medchal & Gundlapochampally in Andhra Pradesh, Ministry of Railways hikes HRA by 30% at par with GHMC limits.
