Clarification on Hostel subsidy under Children Allowance
Hostel subsidy will be allowed if children are in a hostel located beyond a distance of 50 kilometers from employee’s residence.
Audio-Video Class fee eligible under C.E.A. Scheme.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has considered the various representations regarding eligibility of reimbursement of fee charged by schools for teaching through audio-visual aids. It has been decided that such fee charged by schools for teaching through audio-visual aid is reimbursable as “fee” mentioned in Para 1 (e) of the OM Dated 02.09.2008.
