DA from July 2016 set to increase by 6% or 7% for Pre Revised Pay (Pre-7th CPC Pay)
On the basis of All India Consumer Price Index for the period from July 2015 to April 2016 and assumed indices for May and Jun 2016, DA for Central Government Employees in Pre-revised pay (6th CPC) and DA from July after implementation of 7th Pay Commission have been estimated
Consumer Price Index for February 2016 released – Calculation of DA from July 2016
DA with effect from January 2016 was estimated by 7th Pay Commission in its report released in November 2015, as 125%. This estimation is correct now as Govt has approved the increase in DA to an extent of 6% with effect from January 2016.

Ministry of Labour and Employment has issued a Press Release on the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW). The index increased by 1 point and pegged at 270 as of November, 2015.
Central Government Employees DA from July 2015 will be 119%

The price index which is called as AICPI – IW (All India Consumer price Index for industrial workers with the base as 2001=100) for the month of September 2012 has been issued by Government. Central Government Employees, Pensioners and family Pensioners may get Dearness Allowance of 80% with effect from 1st January 2013
