Sub: Relaxation in upper age limit for direct recruitment to non-gazetted posts on the Railways.
The matter of granting age relaxation in upper age limit for direct recruitment from open market to non-gazetted posts in Railways to give relief to many candidates who may have become over-aged and have missed the opportunity to appear in recruitment in Railways due to Covid pandamic was under examination in this office.
It has now been decided to provide age relaxation of 3 years for the ongoing recruitment exercise for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot published under CEN 01/2014. This relaxation in upper age limit will be over and above the 3 years relaxation already available above the prescribed upper age limit in open market recruitment to non-gazetted posts in Railways vide letter dated 21.02.2018 (RBE 25/2018).
