Sub: – Provision of Customized palm-tops on replacement basis against Net-books
Board (MI & MF) has decided the following with respect to replacement of net books which have already exceeded their service life and for which complaints of non-performance are being received:
- The customized palm-tops may be given to JEs and SSEs involved in Track inspection and maintenance for updation of data in TMS on replacement account for net books which have already exceeded their service life and for which complaints of non-performance are being received.
- The expenditure on such customized palm-tops may be charged to contingency/ departmental charges of sanctioned works under PH-31.
- Such customized palm-top are to be specifically designed for TMS or other CRIS softwares use only and having other interface blocked. Centralized Procurement may be done by CRIS.
2. CPD/TMS is requested to take early action for necessary replacement.
3. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Dte. of Ministry of Railways.
