Sub.: Guidelines for monitoring progress of court cases handled by Prosecution Cadre.

In pursuance of judgment dt. 03.07.1997 passed by the Hon’ble High Court, Rajasthan in S.B.CWP No.465/95 filed by Sh.Sohan Singh & Anr.Vs.UOI and affirmed by the Hon’ble Apex Court vide it’s order dt. 29.09.2011, Prosecution Cadre has since been separated from the R.P.F. Now, to bring in harmonization between their working and ensure cooperation and coordination, Ministry of Railways have decided that regular meetings should be held between PPs, Senior Public Prosecutors (Sr. PPs), Senior Divisional Security Commissioners (Sr. DSCs) and chaired by Additional Divisional Railway Managers (ADRMs) on a monthly basis.

2. Further, reporting structure of the Prosecution Cadre has already been circulated vide Board’s letter No. 2012-E(GC)13-2(67) dated 12.06.2019. However, in view of inconsistencies observed in the same on different zones, following reporting structure may be followed for Prosecution cadre:

Division: PP -> Sr.PP -> Sr. Law Officer-> ADRM

Head Quarter: PP->Law Officer/Sr.Law Officer (Till ALO(Pros.) is available) -> Dy.Law Officer/DGM(Law) ->AGM
