Sub: Aptitude test on medically decategorised LPs for SM category.

As the Railway administrations are aware, in terms of extant instructions, staff are subjected to Aptitude Test when they are directly recruited or promoted in the category of Station Masters, ALPs and Motorman, and at the stage of deployment of Drivers on High Speed Trains running about 110 kmph. RDSO has brought to the notice of Railway Board that there is no guidelines for conducting Aptitude Test of those Loco Pilots who are medically decategorised and who are offered alternate appointment to the category of Station Masters.

The matter-has been examined in consultation with concerned Technical Dte. of Railway Board and it has been decided that Aptitude test will be mandatory for such medically decategorised staff who are offered alternate employment in Station Masters category.

This disposed of RDSOโ€™s reference No. PT/PP/1.1.6 dated 20.05.2022.
