30% LDCE for Promotions to Group ‘B’ posts on Indian Railways through Centralized Computer Based Objective type examination (CBT)- calling of candidates for viva-voce

Sub.: 30% LDCE for Promotions to Group ‘B’ posts on Indian Railways through Centralized Computer Based Objective type examination (CBT)- calling of candidates for viva-voce.
Ref.: Board’s letter no.E(GP)2022/2/4 dated 28.06.2022.
Please refer to this office letter of even number dated 28.06.2022 advising that the 70% Selections & 30% LDCEs for promotion to Group ‘B’ posts in Organised departments shall be conducted by Centralised CBT inter-alia also modifying the pattern of examination for 30% LDCE. In this regard, Board has now decided that for the viva-voce conducted as part of 30% LDCEs held for promotion to Group ‘B’ posts, candidates should be called to the extent of 5 times the number of respective vacancies (Ccommunity-wise) in the order of merit. However, in case two or more candidates score equal marks in the exam and vie for the last spot, they may be allowed to appear in the viva irrespective of the fact that the number of candidates goes beyond the limit of 5 times the number of respective vacancies.
