Free Train Season ticket to girl students upto graduation

  How many of us are aware that as per existing Railway provisions  Girl Students upto graduation are eligible for Free Monthly Season tickets for travel between stations serving their school/college to residence.

    Now, the Railway Ministry  has decided to extend the above mentioned concession to Girl students who are pursuing professional/vocational courses also upto the level of graduation.  This concession will be admissible on Monthly Season Tickets  purchased on and after 1st July 2011. There will be no change in other terms and conditions, including the eligibility/ entitlement of free Monthly Season tickets to Boy students.
