Subject: PFRDA‘s Subscriber Awareness Programme to educate subscribers on NPS including choices available under NPS and empowering them lo take informed decision
As you are aware, PFRDA has been entrusted with the responsibility to regulate, promote and ensure orderly growth of the NPS and pension schemes to which PFRDA Act apples and to protect the interests of subscribers of such system and schemes.
2. In order to fulfil the above obligations, PERDA continued with its unceasing efforts of creating awareness about pensions and retirement planning with a vision to make ‘India a Pensioned Society’. In this backdrop, various channels or mediums of communication viz. social media, digital domain, electronic media (audio & visual) and print media, were adopted by the Authority to educate and enhance financial & pension literacy.
3. In line with the above efforts, Authority has started training NPS subscribers through webinars, which are being conducted by an appointed training agency, the online training programs are being conducted every week and its schedules are pre-fixed which are available on PFRDA’s website, the web link-

4. Keeping in view the above backdrop, we request your office to issue suitable instructions/Office Memorandums to your subordinate offices, including autonomous bodies for disseminating this information to employees- NPS subscribers to attend the training programmes to enable them to take informed decision w.r.t. Flexibilities/ choices available under NPS to its subscribers.
