OFFICE MEMORANDUM
In supersession to all the office memorandums of NVS regarding honorarium to be paid to the Inquiry Officer (10) and Presenting Officer (PO) for conducting inquiry in NVS, the revised rates of honorarium are as follows: –
I. Serving Officer

II. Retired Government servants (Only for IO)

II | Where the number of witnesses cited in the charge sheet are between 6-10 | Within six months | 70% of monthly pension last drawn or Rs.25,000/- whichever is less. | 70% of half of the last basic pay drawn at the time of retirement or Rs.25,000/- whichever is less. |
III | Where the number of witnesses cited in the charge sheet are less than 6 | Within six months | 60% of monthly pension last drawn or Rs.20,000/- whichever is less. | 60% of half of the last basic pay drawn at the time of retirement or Rs.20,000/- whichever is less. |
If the inquiry is not completed within a period of six months, a consolidated amount of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) will be paid as honorarium to the retired officer appointed as Inquiry Officer.
Before the honorarium payment is made to the Inquiry Officer / Presenting Officer, all case records and inquiry report may be handed over to the Disciplinary Authority by the Inquiry Officer / Presenting Officer.
This order will take effect from the date of issue of this OM and will also apply to inquiries in progress. The cases already settled / reports already submitted will not be re-opened.
This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
