This Scholarship Scheme is a scheme for reimbursement of fees paid by departmental officials for professional education at undergraduate level of their children and are eligible to receive financial assistance under the Customs & Central Excise Welfare Fund in the following fields of study

Various Welfare Schemes undertaken by HRD of CBEC

As a part of grant of rewards to employees of CBEC, the welfare measures are implemented using a welfare fund and special equipment fund created by the Government out of total amount equal to 10% of the sale proceeds of confiscated goods, credited to the Government and Customs/ Excise Duties, fines, penalties in offence cases realized and sustained in appeal/revision etc.

Promotion of Assistant to the grade of Section Officer of CSS

Considering the fact that posts are lying vacant in the Section Officers’ Grade in various Ministries/Departments mainly on account of court cases, it has been decided that eligible Assistants (who have completed 8 years of approved service in the grade of Assistant) upto SCSLs 2002 (Gen. & SC) may be promoted to the grade of Section Officer on ad-hoc basis to the extent of vacant posts available in the Cadre Units upto 31,10.2011
