Sub: – COVID-19 precaution doses to Railway beneficiaries.
In view of spreading of COVID-19 cases in different countries all over the world. To overcome the situation our strategy should be a combination of vigilance through clinical and pandemic surveillance, scenario based planning and keeping all the systems on alert for a rapid, scale up response when needed.
Our focus and sustained effort should be on fivefold strategy of test- track-treat- vaccination and adherence to COVID Appropriate Behaviour.
Railways and Production Units to make necessary arrangement for procurement of Vaccine and encourage all Railway beneficiaries to take COVID-19 precaution dose.
In this regard, Railways and Production Units to organise multiple vaccination camps at Railway health facilities, work places, different stations etc. Welfare Inspectors, Supervisors of different departments, Scout and Guides are to be roped in to make it successful.
It is requested that as far as possible samples of positive cases on daily basis may be sent to designated INSACOG Genome Sequencing Laboratories (IGSL) that are mapped to state and UT in co-ordination with state nodal authorities.
Railways and PUs to be in touch with state nodal authorities regarding directives issued by states for managing COVID-19.
A letter of Secretary Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) is also enclosed for necessary action please.
