Indian Railways has announced a chat-based healthcare service app for railway employees

New Delhi: Not just passengers but Indian Railways has planned to help its employees including both serving and retired. In a recent development, Indian Railways has announced a partnership with Microsoft Kaizala, according to a ToI report. It is a chat-based healthcare service app through which railway employees can connect to 125 railway and about 133 private recognized hospitals across the country.

Microsoft in a statement said, “The Kaizala group, managed by doctors from South Central Railways will be complemented with focused groups of doctors, paramedical staff and nurses.”

Once they register for the healthcare services on this app, Indian Railways employees will be able to search the nearest hospitals, available doctors, list of empaneled diagnostic centers and health units. They can even book appointments with the doctor, share their diagnostic laboratory reports directly with their doctors and save the digital record in the ‘Me Chat’ of Microsoft Kaizala.

Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman Railway Board, Indian Railways said, ” As one of the largest employers in India, ensuring quality medical care facilities for our employees is one of key focus area, integrating it with Microsoft Kaizala will help us take this vision with ease to all our employees, including those situated in remote locations in India.”

Not just employees, in fact, the doctor on this group can even view the medical history of an employee. Moreover, can see the individual case sheets from the data of over three million railway employees. This app will enable Indian Railways to establish a direct communication link with its employees.

According to the national publication, Microsoft has recently rolled out new features in this chat app. Now it supports audio and video calls. Apart from this, users can save notes, messages, photos, etc in ‘Me Chat’ feature. Users can quickly search and forward the saved items with whoever they wish to share. It is also equipped with data backup and export option.
