No. GS/20 l 7-30.-PHD/l 020 l 7/1314/GH:-   In pursuance of the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable instruments Act,
1881, (XXV/ of 1881) read with the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs No. 39/1/68-Judl.III dated the 8th May, 1968, the Government of Gujarat, in consultation with Reserve Bank of India, Ahmedabad is pleased to declare the following days to be Public Holidays for banks in Gujarat during the year 2018.

The  Government of  Gujarat also declares 1st April  every  year,  as Public  Holiday  for  Banks, Pay  & Accounts Office, Treasury / Sub-Treasury Offices only in the State of Gujarat  to enable them to close yearly accounts, but it being Sunday  on 1st April, 2018, it is not declared as Public Holiday.
