Punjab TET 2014 was conducted on 24th August 2014 at various centers in Punjab State as a Screening Test for the recruitment of Primary class Teachers and Upper Primary class teachers in the state. Teachers Eligibility Test is required to conducted by under Right to Education Act passed by Parliament

PSTET 2014 Marks required to be Scored :

A person who scores 60% or more in the PSTET exam will be considered as PSTET pass.

Further, concession of 5% in PSTET will be given to the persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their reservation policy.

It is also announced by PSTET authorities that those who obtain weightage of marks in PSTET for the purpose of clearing the Test, may not claim recruitment as a matter of right as PSTET is one of of the qualifications of Eligibility for applying to the post of Teachers. Recruitment of Primary and upper primary Teachers in Punjab will be depending on various factors such as availability of Vacancy, Reservation Policy etc.

Who has to write Punjab TET ?

Punjab TET has to be written by Candidates who apply to the Schools owned and managed by the Punjab State Government/Local Bodies and aided school.

If candidates who apply to unaided private schools which are willing to exercise the option of selection of Teachers through PSTET, may have to clear this Teacher Eligibility Test.

How long Punjab TET once written will be valid ?

The Validity Period of PSTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

How many times a candidate can write PSTET ?

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a PSTET Certificate. A person who has qualified PSTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
