About NEET II 2016:

The NEET phase I was held on and NEET phase II was conducted on Sunday, July 24, 2016. NEET is conducted for taking admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in medical/dental colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Counseling Authorities and Admitting Institutions.

DECLARATION OF RESULT : The Central Board of Secondary Education conducedt the NEET – 2016 Examination, evaluate the Answer Sheets and the result will be hosted on website Exact date of declaration of result will be intimated through official website.

The CBSE will prepare the merit list/ wait list as per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, DGHS, MCI and DCI. No category wise result sheet will be prepared. As soon as the result is ready, CBSE will host the results on the website and thereafter candidates may download the Result Sheets.

All Candidates appearing in NEET – 2016 Examination must remain in touch with the websites of CBSE, MOHFW, Medical Counselling Committee ( and Participating States/Universities/ Institutions till conclusion of final round of Counselling.

RULES FOR RE-CHECKING/RE-EVALUATION OF ANSWER SHEETS  The machine – gradable Answer Sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinised.  There is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets.  No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

WEEDING OUT RULES : The record of All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test/ NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST is preserved up to 60 days from the date of declaration of result.

Counselling for seats under 15% All India Quota: Online counselling would be conducted by the MCC of Directorate General of Health Services. Information for online counselling would only be available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website (

Candidates placed in Merit/ Wait List are advised to read the counselling related information carefully and understand the course of action to be taken by them for appearing in the Counselling. Any query related to 15%  All India Quota Counselling may be referred to the following address:
