UPSC Civil Services Exam 2017 results declared
UPSC Civil Services Exam 2017 results : The result of civil services main examination has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at its official website – upsc.gov.in. Hyderabad candidate Anudeep Durishetty topped the list. Anu Kumari secured the second rank, while Sachin Gupta occupied the third spot. The UPSC Main exam was conducted on October 28, 2017. Candidates who appeared in the written examination last year can check the details and the respective results through the official site of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. Those who have been selected will now have to appear for a personality test. They will have to carry their original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, physical handicap and other documents at the time of their personality test.
The UPSC examination was held to recruit 980 posts of Indian nationals in Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services (Group A and Group B) and various other government departments. Out of 980 posts, 54 posts are reserved for reserved categories. The IAS PRE (CSAT) Exam was held on 18 June 2017.
9,57,590 candidates applied, of which 4,56,625 actually appeared. 13,366 candidates qualified for appearance in Mains exam held in Oct-Nov, 2017. Of them, 2568 candidates qualified for Personality Test conducted in Feb-April, 2018.
Based on the results of the written part of held by the Union Public Service Commission in October-November, 2017 and the interviews for Personality Test held in February-April, 2018, as many as 990 names were recommended for appointment to (i) Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

- A PDF file will open displaying the roll numbers of the selected candidates

Vacancy break-up for each category – UPSC CSE 2017:
1058 candidates have been recommended for the appointment (from the two lists). The candidature of 59 recommended candidates is provisional. The vacancy break-up for each category is as follows (including provisional candidates in the rank list):

- TOTAL = 1058
