MSU Tamil Nadu Recruitment 2018: MSU Tamil Nadu Recruitment 2018 application process to fill 46 vacancies for the post of Faculty under various departments has begun on the official website of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tamil Nadu – msuniv.ac.in. Candidates who are eligible and interested in applying for more than one category should apply in a separate application form with the prescribed fee. Eligibility Criteria for MSU Recruitment 2018 for Faculty Posts:

Professor:

An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/College, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.

A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator(API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulation.

OR

An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Associate Professor:

Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.

A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/ College or accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulation.

Assistant Professor:

Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET

(OR)

Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) as per UGC Regulations shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET.

NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Pay Scale:

Professor – The selected candidates will be eligible to receive a monthly pay of Rs.37,400 – Rs.67,000 with Grade pay of Rs.10,000.

Associate Professor – The selected candidates will be eligible to receive a monthly pay of Rs.37,400 – Rs.67,000 with Grade pay of Rs.9,000.

Assistant Professor – The selected candidates will be eligible to receive a monthly pay of Rs.15,600 – Rs.39,100 with Grade pay of Rs.6,000.

  • Download the application form and take a print out
  • Fill the prescribed format of application form with required information
  • Send the duly filled prescribed format of application along with Demand Draft at the below mentioned address: ‘The Registrar, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, 627012’

Instructions to the candidates:

Applicants are required to forward their applications (8 copies) with enclosures in the prescribed application format containing the following particulars.

(i) Proof of age with an attested copy of the first page of SSLC Book;

(ii) Qualifications, degrees (with year/years of passing and University in which the degrees were taken);

(iii) Other academic distinctions, publication, if any;

(iv) Present occupation and salary with Pay Band + AGP;

(v) Language with which the applicant is conversant together with copies of recent testimonials;

(vi) Name of three persons to whom reference can be made;

(vii) All other enclosures/like publications reprints, certificates etc as indicated in the application with attested copies.

(viii) Community Certificate: Permanent Community Card Certificate obtained from the under mentioned authorities on or before the last date for submission of Application Form is necessary for the candidates claiming reservation benefits.

ST – Revenue Divisional Officer

SC/SC-A – Tahsildar of native taluk of the candidate

BC/MBC/DNC- Headquarter Deputy Tahsildar or Special Deputy Tahsildar

PWD (Person with Disability) – Certificate shall be obtained from Medical Board of District concerned certifying the nature and extent of disability in percentage.
