JoSAA Second Round Seat Allotment 2018 Result is Expected Released

JoSAA Second Round Seat Allotment 2018 Result: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2018 will be releasing the result of the second round of seat allotment today, on July 3, as per the official website — josaa.nic.in. Once released, students will be able to check the same through the website for admission into IITs, NITs, IITs and other GFTIs. The first round of seat allotment was published on Wednesday, June 27. Candidates who will be allotted seats will be required to pay the seat acceptance fee (through SBI e-Challan/ net banking/ debit cards) and get the documents verified at any reporting centre for provisional seat acceptance.

JoSAA will conduct total seven rounds. About 36,000 seats are available in 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 23 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and 20 government funded technical institutions (GFTIs) are offering admissions to the students this year.

How to check JoSAA Second Round Seat Allotment 2018 Results?

  • Visit the official website, josaa.nic.in.
  • Click on the link “Round 2: View Allotment Result and Pay Seat Acceptance Fee”
  • Enter the required information and Click on Login option.
  • JoSAA Second round allotment results will displayed on the computer screen.
  • Download and take print out for future use

JOSAA Acceptance Fee / Admission Fee 2018

Students those have confirmed the allotted seat has to Download JOSAA Seat Allocation Order (Provisional) and also the e-challan for payment of the acceptance fee. SC, ST, Gen-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-Pwd and ST-PwD category candidates have to pay the acceptance fee of Rs. 20,000. The other candidates apart from this list have to pay Rs 45,000 as the acceptance fee.

Withdrawal option is not available after seat acceptance and document verification period of round 6 of seat allotment. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is set up by the HRD Ministry to regulate centralised admissions in premier engineering institutions will publish JoSAA 2017 mock allotment for the registered students.

What after JoSAA 2018 Seat Allotment Results?

Freeze option: Candidate is content with the allocated seat, accepts it and is not interested in participating in further rounds of seat allocation. This candidate will NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

Float option: Candidate accepts the offered seat and wants to opt for a seat in an academic program of higher preference in any Institute if offered in the subsequent rounds. If he/she does not get a seat in a higher preference program, he/she will continue with the currently accepted academic program. This candidate will be considered in subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

Slide option: Candidates accepts the offered seat and wants to opt for a seat in an academic program of higher preference within the same Institute if offered in the subsequent rounds. This candidate will be considered in subsequent rounds of seat allotment.
