JEE MAIN 2017 – CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS

JEE MAIN 2017 – CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS : This post is an analysis of the previous years exam giving a good idea of which topic had more weightage, distribution of easy ,medium and tough questions in each topic, which class syllabus was given more emphasis, and so on.

Similar stats have also been made for Physics and Mathematics (paste link of physics and maths links here)

JEE MAIN 2017 – CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS

Lets do an analysis of the Chemistry Paper here. In the year 2017, the paper seemed to be quite balanced giving ample opportunities to score and put the student’s chemistry knowledge to test. The overall difficulty was pretty much lesser than the previous year 2016. The questions are generally application oriented.  Physical Chemistry though having a greater percentage of questions , contributed to a lesser score than the previous years. Around 40% of the paper had medium questions and 43.33% in the easy level. We also see that Class XII Calculus and Class XI Algebra carried a greater percentage overall.
