Indian Institute of Technology begins online registration for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Advanced) 2019 on its official website, jeeadv.nic.in. Candidates who have cleared JEE Main exam 2019 can apply for the JEE Advanced 2019 on the official website, jeeadv.nic.in. The last date to submit the online application for JEE Advanced 2019 is May 9, 2019. JEE (Advanced) 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on May 27, 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019 – Eligibility Criteria:

All the candidates must fulfil each and every one of the following five criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2019.

1. Candidates should be among the top 2,45,000* (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2019.

2. Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1989.

3. A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) maximum of two times in two consecutive years.

4. A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2018 or 2019.

However, if the examination Board of Class XII (or equivalent) declares the results for the academic year 2016-17 after June 2017, then the candidates of that board who appeared for their class XII exam in 2017 are also eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2019, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria. In case, the examination Board of Class XII (or equivalent) declared the results for the academic year 2016-17 before June 2017 but the result of a particular candidate was withheld, then the candidate will not be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2019.

5. A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. Candidates whose admission at IITs was cancelled after joining any IIT are also NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2019.

Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2018 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2019.

Registration Procedure for JEE Advanced 2019:

Step 1: Fill Registration Form:

For JEE (Main) Qualified Candidates: Login with JEE (Main) 2019 Application No and JEE (Main) 2019 Password. On successful login, all personal, academic and contact details; as furnished to JEE (Main) 2019 will be displayed. Candidate will be given an option to provide an additional phone number and email id. Candidates are required to furnish additional information for JEE (Advanced) like, choice of examination cities (06 choices), class XII (or equivalent) examination Roll no. etc.

For Foreign Candidates (Direct Apply): Fill online Registration Form and Note down Login ID and Password for subsequent login.

Step 2: Upload Scanned Certificates:

JEE(Main) qualified candidates are required to upload the following scanned certificates:

Step 3: Pay Registration Fee:

Registration for JEE (Advanced) 2019 will be considered to be complete only after successful completion of step 3 (i.e., payment stage). The admit card will be issued only to those candidates who have successfully completed all the three steps of JEE (Advanced) 2019 registration.

Payment by Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking: The candidate has to click “Pay Registration Fee”, then the system will automatically redirect to State Bank of India Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page. As per the candidates’ convenience, they may select any of the available options like Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/E-challan. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the “Registration Details” with UNIQUE Registration Number.

Payment by CASH using SBI Branch Option: The candidate has to click “Pay Registration Fee”, then system will automatically redirect to State Bank of India Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page. In case of Cash payment candidate has to select “SBI Branch” and system will generate the e-challan. The candidate has to take a printout of the system generated e-challan and take it to the SBI branch for making cash payment. After payment, candidates are required to visit this webpage again and download the “Registration Details” with UNIQUE Registration Number.
